Founder Marthe Lewis

Marthe Lewis is a mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and a motivational speaker. She is also a graduate of the Foster Care System.
In 1996, she entered the Foster Care System (FCS) with the hope of starting a new life that did not include mental abuse, neglect, and the constant reminder of being different. Marthe was only 16 years old when she entered the system. She was without family. While in the FCS, she quickly adapted to her new life. Although at time things were very frustrating, she managed to complete high school in three years between three foster homes, two group homes, and three high schools.
After, she left the FCS in 2000; she gave birth to a beautiful girl who is her pride and the motivation behind the LivvyLove Foundation. Despite all the changes that occurred since she exited the FCS, she completed her undergraduate degree at Strayer University, where she majored in Contracts Acquisition. She now holds an MBA degree in Finance.
"Through my years of struggles, disappointments, embarrassments and countless memories of being violated emotionally, I decided back then that my condition in life was not my conclusion. I decided that foster care was a step to better myself; it did not determine who I was or would be".
She continued to set, meet, and exceed her goals with the above statement imprinted in her mind. Her belief that anything is possible urged her to start a program focusing on youth who are exiting the FCS. She wanted to assist and provide these individuals with the tools to be productive and successful members of society. She followed her dream, heart, and created the LivvyLove Foundation (LivvyLove). Each day she hopes and has faith that many people will lend a helping hand to youth in need, open their heart, and allow a young child to feel truly loved. Her prayer is that this will come to fruition sooner than later).
