As an expert in the field of advocacy, Marthe Lewis has been advocating for youth of all ages since she exited the Foster Care system many years ago. Ms. Lewis focus is to strengthen the community as whole and bring awareness regarding children in the foster care system. Ms. Lewis has dedicated her time and resources to speak at conferences, seminars and workshop, in an effort to attract more foster and or adoptive parents. She strongly believe that every child deserve the chance to be a part of a family regardless of their past.
Because of her dedication to make a difference, Ms. Lewis was appointed as the President for Foster Care Alumni of America- Virginia Chapter (FCAA-VA) in September 2008. She hopes that her role as the President for FCAA-VA will give her the opportunity to voice her concerns regarding the foster care system and solutions to make it better.
